So much to go over for a successful online marketing campaign.   From day one when you decided to create a website, you were probably thinking “Design”, and who will you hire to create that design?  Website design is a very important factor for the time when visitors arrive at your online business display…  yet, it is only about 5% of the battle against all the competition out there in Internet land because the main battle is to get them to your business display! 

Everything you do from day one has to be carefully thought out with “The Mind Of A Marketer”.  Even the decision as to which domain or set of domains to secure… example: Will the searching public be more likely to type “Ted & Johns air conditioning repair”, or “Barcelona AC Repair”?  Barcelonaairconditioning.com would be your best bet as over 80% of the searching public use the major search engines and it is rather simple and direct with keywords (and having your targeted keywords built right into the domain name is always best).  Yes, some search engines really do give weight to a keyword rich domain name.

You will soon realize that “Web Design” and “Internet Marketing” are two different schools of though, and certainly two completely different jobs, now if we could get the web designers of the world to have the “Mind of a Marketer” when they create the web sites in the first place how easy would that be?  I will go over that in another section later called “Naming”.

Keyword research, your first task!  What is your targeted audience, and exactly what are they typing into the search engines?   (Not what you and I think they should be typing, but what they really are typing).
